Fifteen years in the making

Owner Monique De Wet’s journey in food and hospitality spans more than 15 years. She built and ran her own catering company in Cape Town, spent time in the FMCG industry, and served as Events Manager at Fancourt for two years.

After relocating to Oudtshoorn, Monique resumed her catering business, rebranding it as Klein Karoo Events and bringing all of that experience into a company built specifically for this region.

To take the stress out of entertaining by providing professional, personalised and complete event solutions — for weddings, birthdays, corporate functions, year-end celebrations, matric farewells and every occasion in between.

What makes us different?

Every event we cater is owner-operated, hands-on and designed from scratch — never a generic package pulled off a shelf. Our large mobile wood-fired oven is a centrepiece in its own right, producing up to three fresh Neapolitan-style pizzas at a time in around two minutes, so guests are served hot food throughout the event rather than in one big buffet rush. Beyond pizza, we bring slush puppy, candy floss and popcorn machines, full catering menus, live cooking experiences, bespoke celebration cakes, and guided wine tastings and pairings drawn from years in the wine industry — all backed by expert menu planning so you never have to guess at quantities or service style.
